Mia Mijuskovic is a passionate advocate for safe, responsible firearms education, bringing a unique blend of professional expertise, real-world leadership, and personal grit to the FI Academy team. She holds multiple NRA certifications—including Certified Pistol and Rifle Instructor, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home, and Chief Range Safety Officer—reflecting her deep commitment to high standards of training and safety.

Before joining the firearms industry full-time, Mia spent over a decade building a successful career in the automotive and powersports industry. Known for her sharp business acumen and people-first leadership, she made the leap to follow her true calling—creating a space where education, empowerment, and community thrive under one roof.

As a mother, wife, and a business owner, Mia understands the importance of flexibility, support, and security at every stage of life. Her passion lies in helping others—especially her team—grow in confidence and capability. Whether she's on the range or behind the scenes, she’s driven by a mission to build a welcoming, inclusive environment where both staff and students feel seen, supported, and prepared.

With six years of Active Duty Army experience as a Combat Engineer, Tyler brings extensive knowledge of small arms, explosives, and tactical training to FI Academy. He has spent the past two years as a certified gunsmith and NRA instructor, specializing in home defense, combat readiness, and trauma-based medical response.

Driven by a lifelong passion for firearms sparked by movies and video games, Tyler turned that interest into a mission—first to serve his country, and now to train others. His goal is to provide life-saving, real-world instruction to those without prior military experience, helping students build the skills and mindset needed to protect themselves and others.

With over 15 years of combined military experience, Shaun brings a deep level of discipline, knowledge, and tactical training to FI Academy. He has served 13 years in the Hawaii Army National Guard as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Specialist, and currently serves in the Hawaii Air National Guard Security Forces, focusing on law enforcement operations.

Shaun is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer with a passion for 1-on-1 instruction, skill-building, and tactical 2-gun training. He works with all experience levels and is dedicated to helping every student grow in confidence and capability.

A lifelong learner himself, Shaun lives by the motto: “Student first, Instructor second. Never stop learning.”

Craig’s passion for firearms started early—playing with toy guns and pretending to be a soldier as a kid—but his real-world experience began in 2014 when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. With four years in Marine Infantry and advanced tactical training, Craig has spent the last decade sharpening his skills and turning that lifelong passion into purpose.

He’s a certified NRA Instructor with a specialization in Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Infantry Tactics, and 1-on-1 training. His instruction style is clear, focused, and rooted in real-world experience—from Urban Leaders Course to Combat Life Saving and advanced rifle marksmanship.
